YOU HAVE TO QUIET YOUR MIND



While in a meditative state, your brain waves slow and it becomes easier to cross from your conscious to your subconscious mind, opening you to deeper levels of intuition and other unconscious resource and abilities.

Thu meditation daily can not only quiet your mind, it can train you to focus on the present and help you to connect to your inner wise adult for guidance in creating a peaceful, productive, and prosperous life.  if you have never meditated before, begin by doing the following basic exercise for 5 minutes each day, gradually increasing to 20 minutes.
  1. Choose a clean, quiet place either in your home or out in nature.

  2. Fold your hands in your lap and close your eyes.  Take 10 slow, deep breaths, saying attention to your breath as you inhale and exhale.  Than allow your breathing to return to normal as you remain aware of each breath.

  3. Rather than trying to stop or judge your thoughts, just observe them as if they formed a river and you were standing on its bank watching it flow by.

  4.  As your mind begins to quiet, choose a phrase to repeat to yourself such as "I am in the light and I an filled with the light,"  "I am peace," or "I am love."  If your mind wanders, gently bring it back.
